The Pierrot

The society of the Pierrots is considered a 'fantasy' society and is part of the Petit Collège in Binche. Pierrots can be played by girls or boys.

The Pierrots were inspired by the Comedia Dell'Arte. They wear a conical hat decorated with lace, finished with a white ribbon on top. Their shirt and pants are always the same colour: either pink, blue or yellow. Their masks depict a black wolf, and they carry sticks decorated with colorful ribbons.
